Types of Switches from Herga Technology

Here at Herga, we are a UK Manufacturer, designer and exporter of different types of switches. The main types of switches we manufacture and supply are; foot switches, air switches, hand controls, pressure switches, infrared technology and Bluetooth

All of these types can be broken down into subtypes creating even more different types of switches.

Types of footswitch

We have a selection of footswitches which are suitable for different applications and industries.  Each of our ranges has a different purpose and therefore different features. Our medically approved footswitches are designed to meet the quality standards of the medical industry. They are low profile and rear hinged for improved user comfort. Our heavy duty footswitches are rugged and high performing; they are available with a guard option for user safety within the industry. Types of air switch

We have different types of air switches available, these include air switches, Bellow Switches and Push Button Switches, you may recognise our push button switches; they are often used for toilet flushes, hot tub controls and other plumbing applications. As with our footswitches, many of our air switches have a stock model, this ensures fast delivery.

Types of hand control switches

Our different types of hand control switches are suitable for a range of applications, many within the medical industry. Just recently our 6450 Pneumatic hand control switch was featured on BBC’s DIY SOS and was used to move a seat in and out of a bath. All of our hand switches suitable for patient monitoring applications have an ergonomic design making them easy to use.

Types of pressure switch

Our different types of pressure switches also include vacuum switches. We have miniature pressure and vacuum switches, low pressure, medium pressure and high pressure. Some of these designs have stock models. Visit the pressure and Vacuum switch section of the website for more information. 

Infrared technology

Our switch with infrared non-contact technology can detect movement from up to 70mm away. It is available in various contact configurations. This is another of our products which is often used as a toilet flush. It is a more hygienic solution as the user does not touch the switch, it is therefore used more in public toilets.

Types of Bluetooth technology switches. 

The last type of switch we can offer is our range of Footswitches with Bluetooth Technology. We can currently offer our 6226 6210 and 6241 as footswitches with Bluetooth technology. These are available as single pedal or multi-pedal and have been proven within the medical industry.
