Herga has a new Documents Control System in action!

Herga has a new Documents Control System in action!

Herga technology Ltd has introduced a new Document Request or Change (DCR) system. We have also adapted our own technique to manage the amount of product changes that a productive manufacturing company is likely to see during continued improvement and development of innovative products.

The process fully aligns our document control system with the requirements of ISO9001:2015 and ISO13485:2012 standards, encouraging a cross functional DCR team to partake in open constructive discussions, questioning the reasons for change along with the impact it has on the business and our customers.

In the past 5 months we have effectively reduced the number of changes and improved our productivity by 52% from our old system approach. In making these changes we are still maintaining a high level of detailed review, monitoring the impact on quality and reducing risk exposure.

Mark Critchell – New Product Engineer says “A twice weekly meeting to discuss production issues and initiate changes in an efficient and effective way”

Vicky Spall – Engineering Administrator of the DCR system says “The DCR meetings give everyone in each department a chance to be aware of, discuss and approve any changes that are being presented to the DCR team”

The flexibility of the DCR system and the team here at Herga Technology means that even when key members of the management team are not onsite the DCR process can continue without compromising quality, customer service or increasing risk. This clearly shows our commitment to our staff empowerment, flexibility in service and improved customer service.
