As the name suggests, a micro switch is a very small switch. They are very sensitive switches and require only a minimum amount of pressure to activate.
A micro switch is typically inexpensive and is a popular choice for applications on home appliances or on panels with small buttons, such as access control panels. Some of our micro switches are sealed to IP67 making them suitable for applications in wet environments.
A micro switch has an actuator which, when compressed, moves the contacts into a required position, they often make an audible “click” when pressed to inform the use of activation.
Micro switches have very long life and require virtually no maintenance making them a simple switching solution.
