Hands-free operation for medical equipment: Herga supplies 6226 series foot switch to J3M Diffusion for photopolymerisation control

Based in Cannes – France, J3M Diffusion is a designer and supplier of a wide range of equipment and materials used by chiropodists and podiatrists for the correction of nail deformities and other exterior foot-related medical conditions. J3M’s product range includes a variety of practitioner tools including light-cured composite resins which for their correct application the specialist has developed its own curing light (photopolymerisation) unit. With the design finalised with the help of Herga Technology and Pitch Technologies, Herga’s French distribution partner, the portable Ultra Light® LED Curing Light can be set for a timing delay up to 60 seconds and displays battery condition, whilst hands-free operation is ensured thanks to a Herga 6226 series footswitch for on/off triggering.

The 6226 is supplied to J3M as a semi-customised special in a blue Lexan thermoplastic material with an ‘ultra pod light’ logo and a 3.5 mm jack that safeguards the connection to the main unit. The practitioner may also select the number of pulses for photopolymerisation through the Herga switch.
