Industrial footswitches have increased temperature range ratings
Herga Technology has expanded and improved its economic light industrial duty footswitch range with two new single pole switching models that offer increased temperature range from -20 to +80 °C in addition to IPX7 ingress protection.
The 6219 and 6229 series are aimed at foot-operated input control for office equipment, domestic appliances and light industrial machinery with up to 3A and 250V AC/DC maximum electrical ratings and an SPCO contact configuration.
The contrastingly sized rear hinged footswitches provide customers with an alternative choice to match their own styling and use requirements. Both models are rear-hinged moulded thermoplastic in ergonomic designs with anti-slip tread patterns for a sure grip, maximum user comfort and reduced operator fatigue. The smaller 6229 has dimensions of 72 x 96 x 26 mm (wxdxh) and may be freely mounted or securely fixed with M3 brass fixing inserts on the footswitch underside. The larger 6219 footswitch is free mounted only with dimensions of 105 x 141 x 40 mm (wxdxh).
To maintain the most competitive costs, both types are offered with stock availability for SPCO switching in black or grey colours with 2 m stripped cable and a choice of gold contacts for 0.1A, 24 V DC, or silver contacts for 3 A, 250 V AC/DC. As with all of Herga Technology’s footswitches and hand controls, customised versions are available for OEMs with optional switching action, electrical ratings, colours, cables, connectors and more. In addition, air and vacuum operated versions based on the 6219 series can be supplied complete with matching air-switches.
The 6219 and 6229’s ingress protection and improved temperature ratings complement the high quality electro-mechanical build standards that Herga design into all of its switching and control products which offer highest reliability in industrial, medical and specialists switching applications.
