Herga at Compamed 2018

Once again we attended this years Compamed Exhibition part of Medica.

Compamed is an important show for us, it is one of the biggest medical based shows in the world. As a company, we have been attending Compamed for over twenty years and in our experience it is a really valuable show. Our products are used throughout the medical industry in various applications which is why Compamed is an important show for us every year.

As always, we have some products which tend to gain more attention that others, this year the most enquired about products were our Modular Base System and our Bluetooth Products.

Modular Base System – Our Modular Base System was launched in time for Compamed last year and was popular then too. It combines our standard electrical footswitches with our puck switches offering multiple switch opportunities. There are a range of different configurations available with different features to choose from including: guards, handles, lift bars, dividers and cable exit options.

Bluetooth Switching Products – Bluetooth is one of the technologies we can offer on some of our products at Herga. Our Bluetooth Switches are often very popular at Compamed and this year was no different. They are widely used within the medical industry, they have a 10 metre range and a typical latency of less than 100 milliseconds. Each switch can have up to 8 functions and the footswitch and receiver system can be used with up to 2 transmitting devices.

Why we attend Compamed

Every year we attend Compamed we get to catch up with many of our existing customers and our distributors from all over the world.

We also find that we meet a good number of prospective customers. We have some really interesting conversations with people about some new projects which we can help with. This year we were receiving email follow ups from new contacts before the end of the week whilst we were still at Compamed.

George Mason our Electronic Engineer was on the stand this year. It was his first visit to Compamed, he describes his experience “This is the first time I have been to Compamed, and found the whole experience very enjoyable. It was hugely beneficial being able to interact with suppliers and customers from lots of different backgrounds (engineers, doctors, salespeople), and really kept the days interesting and moving at a fast pace.

The amount of people that visited the stand definitely exceeded my expectations, although our sales team did assure me there is always that much interest in what Herga can offer.

The scale of the exhibition (combined with Medica) is immense; to give you an idea I was only there 2 days and saw the two Compamed halls and four of the Medica halls when there are 18 in total. I could have been there the whole week and still only covered half of it.”

Once again, Compamed has given us a week of the year dedicated to speaking about what we can do within the Medical Industry to likeminded companies and individuals from all over the world. It has helped to generate some really interesting projects and customers to follow up on.
