Cell Leader Development At Herga Technology

We have found that offering employees training helps with their personal development as well as improving the atmosphere of the group. 

We are currently giving regular training sessions to our Cell Leaders; their job roles involve allocating work and managing people here at Herga.

What has our Cell Leadership Development involved so far?

We have just completed our third session of Cell Leadership Development. The training is conducted by Variohm’s Operations Director Cathy Donoghue and Variohm’s Documentation Manager Emma Pochodzaj.

As you can see from the photo, our activities in our most recent session involved lots of colour and crafting, we called it “The Hat Factory.” The Hat Factory mainly focused on production planning.

What has our Cell Leadership Development Achieved?

We want to build skills and confidence to help people make Herga more successful. The activities were aimed to achieve an understanding of what it takes to meet deadlines and issues that prevent us being productive, for example; holidays, sick days, damaged or broken machines. This Cell Leader Development was a team building exercise for people to work together with team members they may not have worked with directly before.

Cathy has delivered various Management Training courses at Variohm. She says “We are already seeing a change in the culture at Herga. Our Cell Leaders have more confidence in themselves as well has more understanding of people and the business as a whole.”

Emma says “This session was very successful, I believe they have started to gel as a group and whilst it was a serious task there was definitely an element of fun as well.”

Where did the activities come from?

Cathy and Emma between them have attended multiple HR courses and achieved various qualifications. Cathy also conducts Management Training for the Variohm management team on a regular basis. This particular session was taken from Management Learning Resources Limited. The session was aimed at better management of people and better production planning.

So far we have found the Cell Leadership Training to be successful, having already noticed the difference in the team attending the training. We are looking forward to continuing and seeing our employees excel.
